I’m sure you’d have got the news from the media about the outbreak of the new threat which has become quite popular; yes you guessed it right -THE SWINE FLU. Well this for those of you who think its jus the common flu. To start with swine flu is not a direct human flu; it originates from endemic virus in pigs. If you did not know Swine is another name for pigs, well that sort of explains the origin of the name. Apparently first deaths have been reported in Mexico and are spreading fast towards the north into the states. The virus has been known to affect humans who closely work with the swine. The primary symptoms include like those of the normal influenza which are cold, affected throat and pain in muscles but the actual affect is much deadlier. Though there has not been any official news on any vaccinations we can expect a few hitting the pharmacies very soon, let’s hope for the best .As of now the flu has spread to twelve countries across three continents and the world health organisation fears that it might soon take form of a pandemic.
