There would not be many who aren’t quite familiar with this. Well imp sure even though many of the people who are familiar to the term will not be aware of the origin or even why it is there. Mothers day was celebrated n different dates across different countries the reason for this being the origin for the mother’s day was different for different countries. Anna jarwis ,the name might not be familiar , but it was she who played a part in bringing up a mother’s day association and hinting that the second Sunday of may be celebrated as mother’s day. for those in India it falls on MAY 10th in 2009 and on MAY 9th in 2010, Well Happy mothers day in advance.If you ask me, there isn’t a real need for a mother’s day because if we are to facilitate the works or to honour our mothers a single day in the year is not enough, anyway it stands as a supplement to father’s day. One of the famous sayings and I quote her “god could not be everywhere, so he created mothers “.Even in Hindu slokas mother commands a place before god and father -”matha pitha guru deivam”.
